Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Eggs 6 Separate whites and yolks
Sugar ¾ cup Separate into ½ cup and ¼ cup portions
Rich Cream 1 pint  
Whole Milk 1 pint  
Blended Whiskey 1 pint  
Jamaican Rum 1.5 oz  
Nutmeg   Grated

Method

  1. Beat egg whites to very stiff peaks
  2. Add ¼ cup sugar tp egg whites
  3. Beat egg yolks
  4. Add ½ cup sugar to yolks while beating
  5. Mix the whites with the yolks
  6. Stir in cream and milk
  7. Add Whiskey and Rum
  8. Stir thoroughly

Notes From Gran

  1. Serve from punbch bowl
  2. Serve with grated nutmeg on each glass
  3. Makes 5 pints egg nog
  4. Served every Easter after morning church
