Bacon, Celery, Cheese Balls

Ingredients

| Bacon Bits | ½ cup | should be crisp |
| Celery | ½ cup | finely chopped |
| Apple | ½ medium | Diced fine |
| Cream Cheese | 3 oz | 3 oz used to be a standard “small” brick of Cream Cheese |
| Mayonnaise | ||
| Chopped Nuts |
Method
- Cook to crisp, cool, and crumble bacon into bits if making bacon bits from scratch
- Soften Cream cheese
- Dice apple
- Finely chop celery
- Mix in bacon, celery, and Apple
- Add mayonnaise until mixture holds together
- Shape into small balls
- Roll in chopped nuts

Modern Notes
- My first attempt at this didn’t really work. The Celery and Apple was way too big, so the balls didn’t really hold together. You want to cut those as small, or smaller than the bacon bits, I think. – David S.
