Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Butter 3 Tbsp  
Onions 3 med Chopped
Green Pepper 1 med Sliced
Mushrooms ½ lb Sliced - Fresh or Canned
Light Cream 1½ cups  
Flour 1½ Tbsp  
Ham 1 cup Cooked - Diced
Pimento 1 Diced
Egg 1 yolk Slightly beaten
Salt to taste  
Pepper to taste  
Prepared Mustard ½ tsp  
Spaghetti ½ lb Cooked

Method

  1. Cook spaghetti and prepare sauce as follows while it cooks
  2. Chop Onions
  3. Slice pepper
  4. Slice mushrooms if not pre-sliced
  5. Melt butter in large kettle
  6. Add onions, pepper, and mushrooms
  7. Cook and stir until lightly browned
  8. Mix cream with flour and stir in
  9. Add a little water
  10. Cool and stir until thickened
  11. Add ham and pimento
  12. Bring to boiling point
  13. Lightly beat and add egg yolk
  14. Season to taste and add mustard
  15. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti
