| Mushrooms | 2 large cans | |
| Onions | 5 | Chopped |
| Butter | ¼ lb | |
| Tomato Paste | 2 Tbsp | |
| Prepared Mustard | 1 Tbsp | |
| Worcestershire Sauce | 2 Tbsp | |
| Sherry | 1 cup + ½ cup | Dry Sherry |
| Maggi Sauce | Dash | Maggi is a brand of seasonings and sauces |
| Baking Soda | ¾ tsp | |
| Sour Cream | ½ + ½ pint | |
| Flour | ¼ cup | |
| Salt | ||
| Pepper | ||
| Garlic Powder | Dash |
Method
- Chop onions
- Cut meat into bite-size pieces
- Dredge meat in flour
- Cook onions and mushrooms in butter
- Add meat and brown
- Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Add Tomato Paste, Mustard, Worcestershire Sauce, 1 cup Sherry, Maggi’s sauce and ½ pint sour cream
- Cover and simmer about 3 hours or until ready to serve
- About 20 minutes before serving, add ½ cup sherry and ½ pint of Sour Cream
